Terms of Service
1. What STAVUS is
STAVUS is a digital status object. Membership provides: a digitally rendered membership card, an Apple Wallet credential, placement on a public leaderboard of verified purchases, progressive card-tier evolution, a verified purchase ledger, and an annually issued card artifact. That is the complete list.
2. What STAVUS is not
Membership has no monetary value. It is not an investment, a currency, a security, a claim on anything, or a product that appreciates. Amounts you spend are not deposits and are not recoverable through the app. Nothing in STAVUS entitles you to goods, services, access, or benefits in the physical world. If you expect any return beyond the items in Section 1, do not purchase.
3. Purchases
All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID, under Apple's Media Services terms. Prices are stated before purchase. The membership auto-renews annually until cancelled in your Apple ID settings; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled solely by Apple under Apple's policies. Tribute purchases are one-time and non-refundable except as Apple provides. Refunded amounts are deducted from your verified lifetime total.
4. The Board
Your rank, tier, and verified lifetime total are public. Your display name appears when your profile is set to public; otherwise you appear as "Anonymous Member" with amount and rank still visible. Display names must not impersonate others, contain slurs or unlawful content, or claim affiliation with STAVUS or Apple. We may reset a violating name to its default at our discretion.
5. Accounts and termination
Accounts are created via Sign in with Apple at first purchase. You may delete your account in the app at any time (see the Privacy Policy for what deletion removes and retains). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to falsify Board data, or violate these terms; verified purchase records are never altered except for Apple-reported refunds.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties and limit our aggregate liability to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding a claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your rights as a consumer under applicable law, including Apple-mediated refund rights.
7. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the app and continued use constitutes acceptance. Governing law and venue: State of [STATE], United States (to be finalized upon entity formation).
